AltAss Ratings (On a scale of 1 to 5 asses)
Plot:
A solid idea for a story but it seemed to try and cram too much into the two hour runtime leading to a rushed and awkward ending.
Writing:
Tyler Perry is a talented writer and I found the smart dialogue driven scenes mostly refreshing when they weren't too corny.
Acting:
The ensemble cast held their own for the most part especially considering the difficult nature of some of the scenes. There wasn't anything Oscar worthy but nobody made me want to throw up either.
Originality:
It is a sequel which is the opposite of original.
Overall:
There are not very many good movies in this category that target younger married couples. This wasn't an excellent film but it had enough entertainment value to reccomend a look to the right audience. Married people will definitely see some reflection of their own experience which they can appreciate.
