AltAss Ratings (On a scale from 1 to 5 asses)
Plot & Writing:
A solid premise to base a horror movie upon but far from award winning quality in any way shape or form.
Acting:
Not very good. I expect this will be the first and last journey to the big screen for everyone in this movie.
Originality:
This fake documentary style film has been used in plenty of movies, "The Blair Witch Project", "Quarantine", and "Cloverfield" come to mind. Using it to capture the escalation of the paranormal is a nice twist that works.
Overall:
Proof that our advancing technology is making it possible for just about anybody to make a film that has a chance of being relevant. This movie is a legitimate horror film despite its budget induced shortcomings and it will scare most people. If you like horror films it is a must see (although you probably already have).
Rated S for Scary
The Fear Factor:
Screams: 0
Jumps: 4-6
